Metal detectors

If you’re going camping or traveling in an area with possibilities of past war minefields, make sure to equip yourself with professional mine sweepers that make the trails safe for public use. Metal detectors are important gear that could scan un-detonated mines. For instance, forest rangers and border patrols in the jungles near the Cambodian-Vietnam borders never fail to stumble upon mines that were buried by Vietcong soldiers during the Vietnam War thirty years ago.
NGOs and relief organizations also equip themselves with metal detectors when visiting remote villages in Cambodia. Thousands of farmers and their families from poor villages have already lost lives and limbs caused by land mine explosives buried there.
