Snorkeling is swimming at the surface of the water while wearing a diving mask and a J-shaped tube called a snorkel for breathing. This popular recreational activity is best done at tropical resort destinations. Maui is one such ideal spot. Maui snorkeling is popular among tourists because of its world-renowned attractions like the Molokini Crater and secluded Coral Gardens.

The Molokini crater features awesome underwater visibility up to the range of 100-150 feet. Both dive sites offer excellent opportunities for snorkeling enthusiasts of all skill levels. They also provide one of the best underwater photographic opportunities you will find. You can even see humpback whales en route to the site if you visit between the months of December and April.
