As sales executive for a big consumer products company, I am on the road a lot! Our company believes in reaching each American household, so we sometimes go on tour as a team to introduce a new product or to remind consumers about the benefits they have in choosing our products. I have been with my team for almost half a year now, and these touring activities may take a toll on your health and sanity.

One thing my teammates often ask is why I always look so refreshed even after a long flight or bus ride. I tell them it’s all in the packing. I make sure to bring along something to engage me on the road, like a new novel or a bestselling magazine. I just let the rest gab about work while I focus on something else. I also choose my travel wardrobe wisely, so I don’t wrinkle up on the plane. I also always make sure that I have my neck pillow with me, so I can take a quick and comfortable snooze while on the road.
