Scuba diving is fun but it is not your regular swimming session. You have to be physically fit and this will require a certification from a doctor. Before you can go into the ocean experience there are certain preparations that are required. You have to have basic water skills and this is taught and tested in what is called confined water dives. This is to make sure that you have competence in swimming which is a basic requirement in scuba diving.

You will be required to read instruction manuals on your own aside from on site instructions from experienced scuba divers. There are many variable factors that can affect the safety of your dive and all these are taught. Would-be divers are educated on different sea conditions, safe depth levels and how to protect themselves from temperature changes. Some conditions may be stressful to beginners but proper training will give them the confidence that they will need. This is where getting to know scuba gear will come into the picture.
