There are now a wide variety of navigational systems for just about anyone and are available for all needs and budgets. One of these is the marine GPS chartplotter. It is a dedicated system where some are handhelds that run on batteries with small screens while others are installed on the boat and wired into the boat’s electrical system.

Mounted chartplotters generally have bigger screens. All plotters are weatherproof and are built to withstand the harsh marine environment. They have built in charts and navigational software. Marine plotters are easy to use without requiring software installation or complicated chart downloads.
