Just like climate that varies all over the world depending on the seasons, water temperature also differs in winter than they are during summer. They vary as much as 20 degrees. When you go Hawaii snorkeling in the summer, the water temperature there will be very different if you come back to go diving in the winter.
Buying a wetsuit can sometimes be tricky because women tend to get colder easier than men. This is due to the more surface areas or curves that women have. If you and your spouse are traveling together to a destination with underwater activities, it would make sense to buy a warmer suit for the lady.
